As we leave behind freedom loving, optimistic Sagittarius, and enter the serious sign of Capricorn, our lives take on a more down-to-earth practical quality. The ruler of Capricorn is Saturn, the teacher. We are challenged to accept more repsonsibility for our lives, and become more disciplined. Ambition and goal setting take on new meaning as we clarify and refine our life path. Saturn will be in the sign of Libra, empowering  and transforming relationships, until October 2012. The Sun's transit through Capricorn this year is more significant than most years as Pluto, the transformer, is in the early degrees of Capricorn. The New Moon at 2 degrees of Capricorn on the 24th makes a sweet trine to Jupiter in Taurus. A realistic sense of new beginnings and potential is possible at this time.
