“Astrological sessions with June have been compassionate and uniquely insightful. She really looks at a person on an individual level and offers reassurance and necessary information to plan for the coming year.” -- Marcia Golembeski – Counselor, Dover, NH

Louis Pasteur Quote
Carl Jung Quote

“June Black is an intuitive and intellectual genius. Her understanding of astrology, combined with her deeply intuitive nature, enable her to interpret the universal logic that connects us to the stars. She has a sixth sense and has always been perfectly accurate in her assessment of my place in the logical universe. She has been extremely helpful in guiding me by shedding light on the things I already know. A modern sage and wise woman.” -- Stephany Taylor - pianist, composer, teacher, Boston, MA

“June Black has been doing readings for me and my family for several years. She combines a solid knowledge of the astrological dynamics with deep understanding of human behavior. She has been 'spot on' each time I’ve consulted her, bringing a clarity to whatever situation I have been concerned about. Not advice on 'how to' but rather insight on what’s happening on several levels. A most helpful use of astrology." -- Pamela Erdman – Counselor, Hancock, NH

Hippocrates Quote
Ralph Waldo Emerson Quote

“June’s knowledge of the stars is outstanding! Her readings are insightful and a great way to learn about the inner workings of your psyche. The information she revealed about my birth chart, synastry and composite charts, has helped me to make some important personal decisions about my future. Knowing and understanding who you truly are is empowering! Thank you June!” -- Deb Beaulieu – Masseuse and musician, Hollis, NH

“June is incredibly insightful and knowledgeable with one’s chart. She is helpful in educating one about the energies that are going on currently in one’s life, the new energies that are coming as well as the process that needs to be taken for one’s personal growth.” -- Rhonda Sturgeon – Chiropractor, Portsmouth, NH

"I had June do my natal chart to see if I could gather some insight as to where my life was heading. Wow simply amazing! June was well prepared and presented me with my charts and explained each aspect as it pertained to me. How empowering that information is in making decisions as I travel my life path. Thank you so much.

Thomas Aquinas Quote

"One of the highlights of my recent trip to the United States was having a personal astrological chart done by June Black. She came highly recommended to me and certainly did not let me down. Although I was completely unknown to her, the analysis of my personality which June provided was concise and 'on the nose'! Her generosity with her time, allowing me to digest and question, coupled with her innate insightfulness, encouraged me and helped provide a focus for my work. I will certainly look to June in the future for guidance towards the evolution of my dream.

                                      PERSPECTIVE

We are all born in a unique moment of time of place. We each have a unique horoscope (birth chart) that reflects that moment. The positions of the Sun, Moon and eight planets can  all be found in specific relationships to each other at this or any other point in time.
A Sun sign alone does little to describe a whole individual, contrary to newspaper bites. This approach does not consider the other lunar and planetary placements at the time and place of one's birth. A trained view of a horoscope can reveal not only where the Sun and Moon are positioned, but other planetary placements as well - along with an understanding of the importance of those placements in the individual's life.
A thorough horoscope analysis provides a clear, three dimensional view of a person. Your vital energy, emotional make-up, inherited influence, talents and gifts, drive and willpower, relationship and career potential, life lessons and life path, as well as many other personal characteristics, can be delineated and translated by a competent astrologer.
Everyone possesses all the signs and planets at varying degrees within them, vis a vis their birth (natal) chart. As Jung stated:  "As above, So below". You are not simply your Sun sign or even Sun, Moon and rising sign. You represent a dynamic interplay of many cosmic energies that work together to create the unique person you are.

                       REFLECTIONS for July 22, 2010

The SUN enters the sign of LEO

Another energy shift as the Sun moves from sensitive nurturing Cancer to heart centered Leo. Confident, creative, and focused, Leo is ruled by the Sun itself. This fiery sign has strength, vitality and willpower. Symbolized by the lion, Leo has the ability to radiate love selflessly and rejoice in life with a rare optimism. A selfless Leo radiates joy and a childlike happiness much like the Sun itself which has the ability to heal and warm hearts. Self expression and all manner of creative pursuits come naturally to Leo. They are natural actors. Leo rules the heart and when in tune with this energy those strong in this sign can light up a room with their kindness and loving warmth.

Conversely, when Leo seeks glory for themselves instead of others they descend to the lower levels of this powerful solar energy. When feelings and desires are focused instead on themselves, vanity, pride, and selfishness replace their outgoing rays of love. Leo can become arrogant and closed off to the world and incapable of intimacy in their pompous desire for attention and control of others. The true test of this sign is the choice between selfless spiritually guided love to others or ego driven lust for self glorification.

The Sun's transit through Leo this month is a call to everyone to become a beacon of light and love. As Saturn is now in the sign of Libra the necessary discipline to rule from the heart is available if we choose to use it. Cooperation replaces competition and kindness and concern for others replaces self-centeredness.

The planets Uranus and Jupiter which have recently been in the early degrees of pioneering Aries soon retrograde back into the sign of Pisces, providing us the sensitivity and compassion necessary to be of service to others. During this month the planet Pluto is also retrograde, allowing us to go deep within ourselves, transforming the old to the new. It is a critical time of choice for all of humanity. It is a time to let go of old behavior patterns and habits that serve neither our higher selves nor humanity. In the name of love we learn to trade-in our ego's need for the spotlight, and with the unmatched courage of Leo shine the light of love to the world.

Benjamin Franklin Quote

When studying the meaning of any horoscope, the position of the sun, moon and planets are all given equal consideration. The aspects or angles they form to each other are what astrologers study. The position of the Sun in Leo for instance is influenced by the motion of the Moon and the planets. The Moon changes signs every couple of days, thus we have a New Moon, two quarter moons, and at least one Full Moon each month. The aspects that are formed during the daily motion of the heavens reflect in large part activities on earth and in our own personal lives.

There are major shifts happening in our cosmos now as PLUTO in the sign of Capricorn (institutions, authority and the powers that be), SATURN in Libra (justice, relationships and equality), and now URANUS and JUPITER in Aries (personal rights and freedom, aggression, pioneering discovery), all make action-oriented aspects or angles to each other. These are powerful energies and last a couple of years. The effect of these transits relate not only to those individuals with cardinal energies in their natal chart but to humanity as a whole. The message is clear. A new world order is being established. Old patterns of behavior and institutions that no longer work are slowly being replaced by enlightened and just world views with a conscience. The struggle comes from resistance to these necessary changes. Profit oriented corporations and personal egos alike will need to set aside their personal agendas for the good of the whole. 'The right thing to do' will become a mantra for this new era.

Claudius Ptolemy Quote

...For Mercy has a human heart,
Pity a human face,
And Love, the human form divine,
And Peace, the human dress.

...And all must love the human form,
In heathen, turk, or jew;
Where Mercy, Love and Pity dwell
There God is dwelling too.

- William Blake, The Divine Image
